Om Bahadur Gurung, better known as O.B., became a trekking guide in 1989. There are few corners of Nepal he has not seen in all the treks he has led since. Off-the-beaten-path destinations? You can bet he has been there before. Classic Himalayan circuits? He has completed them countless times.

O.B.’s vast knowledge of Nepal’s geography, rich culture and ancient history stems from years spent roaming its mountain ranges, exploring its deepest valleys and most remote areas, and meeting the people that live there.

Because he needed to see more, O.B. also traveled to India, Tibet and then across Europe. In a bid to find out more about these trekkers he kept guiding through his mountains, he set out to discover bits of England, Scotland and Germany, to further understand their expectations and provide better services.

O.B. pursued his mountain education at the Himalayan Rescue Association (HRA), the Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN), the Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management (NATHM), the Nepal Tourist Board (NTB) and the Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP). In 2010, he finally resolved to launch his own trekking agency with his son-in-law Uttam Adhikari.

Today O.B. serves as president of Himalaya Trekking Team. But, ever curious about the world, he still loves the unexpected encounters that are such an essential part of the trekking experience. He will be happy to unlock for you the many secrets of Nepal’s wonderful mountains, to let you discover its cultural riches and fabulous landscapes, bringing along his contagious sense of humour.

Uttam Adhikari hails from Dhading District, northwest of Kathmandu, where the snowy peaks of Ganesh Himal formed the backdrop of his childhood. Growing up surrounded by the Himalayas inspired his deep connection with the mountains and eventually led him into the trekking industry.

Determined to turn his passion into a profession, Uttam trained as a government-licensed trekking guide and passed with excellent results. After gaining valuable experience in the field, he founded Himalaya Trekking Team in 2010 together with his father-in-law, O.B.

As an accomplished entrepreneur, Uttam has managed the company with dedication and enthusiasm since its establishment. Drawing on his extensive knowledge of Nepal and years of experience in the Himalayas, he ensures that trekkers enjoy the most memorable highlights of the regions they visit.

To broaden his understanding of global tourism, Uttam has traveled to Cyprus, Turkey, Dubai, Qatar, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Portugal, and Switzerland for tourism purposes. These international experiences have helped him gain valuable insights into the global travel industry and improve the trekking experiences offered to visitors coming to Nepal.

Uttam personally works with clients to design customized itineraries tailored to their budget, interests, and travel preferences. From planning logistics to organizing every detail of the journey, he ensures that trekkers can enjoy their adventure in Nepal with complete confidence and peace of mind.

Quand elle n’est pas coincée derrière un écran d'ordinateur, Corinne passe le plus clair de son temps à arpenter les montagnes. Au fil des années, sa passion, née sous les contreforts des Pyrénées, l'a menée des collines anglaises et Highlands écossais aux Alpes françaises, suisses et enfin japonaises, via les versants escarpés du Kilimandjaro et du Mont Fuji. 

Le Népal s’est naturellement imposé comme la destination suivante. Son premier trek avec O.B., ces premiers aperçus des mythiques sommets himalayens et l'hospitalité hors du commun des népalais l'ont tout simplement ébahie. Une fois n'a pas suffi. Elle y retourne régulièrement depuis 2010.

Mr Christopher Martin is our Company Representative from Australia. He has already visited in Nepal many times and he has vast knowledge about  Nepal, especially about festival trekking in Nepal.
